Are You In Need Of Sedation Dentistry?

How Sedation Dentistry Benefits Patients

  • Low Pain Tolerance
Patients with a low pain tolerance may be less likely to visit their dentist regularly.   Even though most dental procedures are not very painful, advances in sedation dentistry now provide patients with different options for sedation to make their dental procedures more comfortable.
  • Oral Conscious Sedation for Dental Anxiety
Patients who suffer from dental anxiety greatly benefit from sedation during their procedures.  Oral conscious sedation allows the patient to reach a deep, restful state, but remain conscious throughout the procedure.  Many patients report they were so relaxed they are able to recall little or no memory of the procedure.
  • Intravenous (IV) Sedation for Complex Dental Procedures
For patients undergoing more complex dental procedures such as dental implant surgery, having their wisdom teeth removed or other complex dental surgery, the use of IV sedation under the supervision of an anesthesiologist is often the recommended approach.
