How Does Oral Conscious Sedation Work?

If Dr. Hogan will be helping you with oral conscious sedation , here’s what you can expect.

First, during your consultation appointment, Dr. Hogan will write a prescription for a safe and effective anti-anxiety medication. Then, on the day of your procedure, you’ll take your medication as directed by Dr. Hogan.

By the time you arrive for your procedure, you’ll already be feeling relaxed. Then, as the medication takes full effect, we can begin your appointment. Because you’ll feel so relaxed, your appointment will seem to fly by while in reality Dr. Hogan may actually perform more work than is normally possible during a single visit.

Afterwards, you can look forward to your smile being healthier than it’s been in a long time. And to think, you did it all without ever feeling anxious.

Would you like to learn more about how sedation dentistry works ? Call Dr. Hogan’s office today to find out more. We gladly serve patients from Mt. Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Daniel Island, and West Ashley.
